Burney Lamar is a retired professional race car driver from the United States. He was born on August 21, 1980, in West Sacramento, California. Lamar began his racing career in the late 1990s, competing in various series such as the NASCAR Winston West Series and ARCA Racing Series.
Lamar made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2007, driving for various teams such as Chip Ganassi Racing and Kevin Harvick Incorporated. He also competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Camping World Truck Series, and ARCA Racing Series throughout his career.
Lamar's career highlights include winning the ARCA R. E. Gane Wood 200 in 2006 and finishing 6th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway in 2006. After struggling to secure consistent rides in NASCAR, Lamar stepped away from racing full-time in 2010.
Since retiring from professional racing, Lamar has focused on business ventures outside of the sport. He currently resides in North Carolina with his family.
